A green or badly neglected pool doesn't need a big dose of chemicals — it needs time, the right sequence, and someone who won't rush it. Here's exactly how a recovery goes.
Day one — assess & start gently
The Initial Assessment covers a full systems check and water test, plus your first chemical treatment: two HTH floaters to begin balancing the water. No chlorine, no other chemicals yet — small, slow changes get you to swim-safe faster than a big dose ever could.
Second visit — the deep clean
Once the pool's had a few days to respond, we're back for the physical work: pump switched to backwash to bypass the filter entirely, a full brush of the floor and walls with a wide brush on a pole, and the skimmer net used to clear sticks, seeds and bigger debris off the bottom before the cleaner robot goes back in. Still no chlorine — the filter needs to capture the loosened dust first.
Follow-up test — balance, don't shock
A few days later the water's cleared up and we test again. Chlorine goes in based on those real results — never a blanket "shock" dose. Over-dosing to force a quick fix can damage pipes, valves and pumps, so we'd rather take it in careful steps.
